Crafting Passages

Crafting Passages is an enriching after-school program and weekend-workshop opportunity for boys and men to engage in social-emotional learning in a collaborative working environment. Mentees learn to use tools and build wood-crafting projects in STEAM Studio’s woodshop. Crafting Passages is an initiative of Journeymen Asheville.

Journeymen Asheville is a nonsectarian, non-partisan, non-profit organization created by men for the specific purpose of mentoring boys 12-18 years of age through their passage into manhood.

Journeymen is staffed by dozens of committed and trained volunteers and professionals who have undertaken their own journeys of personal development. Mentors model what it’s like to be a man of integrity and authenticity, and teach specific processes that help the boy become the man he wants to be.
