STEAM Studio’s Community Lumber Project was established in the wake of Hurricane Helene to process fallen trees into useful lumber products. The project was supported by a donation from Woodmizer and a $200,000 grant from the Community Foundation of Western North Carolina’s Emergency and Disaster Response Fund.
The lumber will be available for free or at a discount for various uses related to recovery and rebuilding.
